Jake Tam, P.Eng

Jake Tam is a professional engineer providing independent estimating, scheduling, and project controls support to heavy civil and infrastructure contractors across British Columbia. Since founding JY Consulting Services Inc in 2025, Jake has led cost estimates from conceptual budgets through competitive tender, and developed and maintained CPM schedules for major infrastructure builds.

Jake's work spans pipeline, earthworks, and civil infrastructure projects, using a mix of proprietary and industry-standard tools — including TamCost, a proprietary estimating tool developed for heavy civil work, alongside InEight, Kubla, Primavera P6, MS Project, and CM Builder.

Based in Richmond, BC, Jake works directly with contractors on an engagement basis, giving project teams estimating and scheduling depth without the overhead of a full-time in-house hire.
